First stop, Alila Villas in Uluwatu

Breakfast at Cire Restaurant with the most incredible view. It was wet season in Bali but we were so lucky to have such wonderful weather and quiet surrounds everywhere we went on this trip which really added to the holiday, feeling as though we could disappear. We saw whales out in the Indian Ocean that morning, incredible!

The infinity pool at Alila

A floaty moment captured

Poolside snacks. A good way to slowly introduce your stomach to eating in Bali is having heaps of little snacks throughout the day. We never ate big meals and because I can’t eat gluten, I am ALWAYS hungry so lots of little snacks was the best remedy for me. Keeping you feeling light and always satisfied

Complimentary Indonesian tasting plate, our first meal upon arrival followed by some delicious prawn satay and a much needed margarita

No matter where we went at Alila there was someone ready with a little table for my handbag to sit on. You know you are staying at a 5 star hotel when your handbag has its own seat. Loved this little touch

Finn’s Beach Club was less than ten minutes from Alila in Uluwatu, a beautiful private beach to relax and get some sun

Beach essentials

Selfies on the beach haha, I’m wearing my FAVOURITE new Bikini Atoll triangle bikinis, a gift from the incredible designer Louise Bond

The view to Finn’s Beach Club – me looking very relaxed in my daggy but amazingly comfy Billabong dress which for some reason appears in almost every photo even though I only wore it one day on the trip haha

I never thought I’d see the day but truly a hit! New essential summer shoe, the Birk!

I have been using non-toxic skin-care products for almost 10 years now and they are very hard to find when travelling. I got introduced to a word-of-mouth brand called Neways some time ago and learnt about the horrible ingredients in our every day supermarket products – namely sodium lauryl sulfate and propylene glycol amongst others and ever since have been hooked on all things non-toxic. Now if I use usual products, I get rashes and red eyes as my body isn’t used to all the chemicals so it is essential for me. Alila makes all their own products and they are ALL natural! This was probably one of the biggest bonuses for me in staying here, despite the sheer beauty and opulence of it all, of course. There were all different products ‘for her’ and ‘for him’ in our beautiful bathroom including, lip balm, body lotion, after sun gel, tanning oil, sunscreen, shampoo, conditioner, insect repellent, face mask, face mist, bubble bath, shower gel and they were all natural. Such a relief and very impressive!

Henry Holland and heaps of great designers at the Alila shop

Natural products galore at the Alila Spa

WOHA architects did the most amazing design, little wooden cabanas everywhere to get some shelter from the sun. Every villa gets their own one

Pina Colada!

Black and white bliss

Entree fail! I accidentally ordered two plates of meat for my entree and my main was steak too. I felt like I was in Lost In Translation

After two glorious nights at Alila in Uluwatu we moved to the W Hotel in Seminyak for more fun times and a bit more action

A lady wearing a Burberry burqa whilst choosing her breakfast, only at the W

The mandatory Sea Circus bathroom selfie, my t-shirt said VS but in the mirror it looks like SV ha!

A girl painting a surf shop opposite Seminyak Square. We drove past hours later that night and she was still there and it looked like she had barely done any more – very cute though

Gelato at Lello Lello Gelato next door to Sea Circus – 21 Jalan Kayu Aya (Oberoi Rd), Seminyak

Motel Mexicola – check out the candle wax! Jl Kayujati No 9x, Petitenget Beach (opposite Bodyworks), Seminyak

Mexican snacks

The most incredible decor and interiors, a must see when in Bali!

That same night we visited La Favela for drinks after dinner and my god this place is huge and filled with the most incredible antiques and random objects. It is as though they have collected the pieces that deck out this venue over two lifetimes. A total must see! Unfortunately I didn’t bring my camera that night but this place really must be seen in person to be believed! The staff were gorgeous too, at one point they were dancing together like they were from the 50’s, their boss must be a very cool cat. Lovely to see

Me dicking around at La Favela on an old barber shop chair

Scary and random @ La Favela

Room service breakfast the morning after we danced in our villa until 5:30am – so much fun!

Our pool at the W

The Casino and Cherry Cola cocktails

More cocktails at Potato Head – the Million Dollar Martini being made for 4 of us, the night Jaime Lee Major came to visit with friend Jana, fresh off her trip from New York via Perth

Another trip to Sea Circus I love it so much. No matter how many places you have to visit, this place is definitely the best for easy, chilled out surrounds, amazing food and coffee or the BEST coconut daiquiri I have ever had! I MUST try and figure out the recipe this summer

Bali hipsters do exist @ Sea Circus

Bali has a new international airport, it is rather fancy actually and nothing like the HORRIBLE old one! A very welcomed upgrade
