So you may have been wondering where on earth I have been ever since Perth Fashion Festival? Well as some of you may know, I am not only a loyal fashion blogger for this here SV, I am also a Fashion Stylist as well as a Costume Designer for film & TV. Sadly when Costume gigs come my way with their EPIC schedules and long, demanding hours, my general life tends to go straight down the pisser and I have no other choice than to disappear off the radar and work my little tooshie off until the project is complete. Obviously it is worth it beyond measure but posts become few and far between in the process. Such is the case with my latest project, Ashbeclee. A 7-part comedy web series we created for Perth Racing via 303Lowe Agency as part of the “Ascot Happens” campaign. It’s about time Perth girls got their own show and this is set to be rad town!
This is for sure one of the coolest gigs I have ever worked on as Ash, Bec and Lee’s styles were a very important aspect of the show. Normally I am rubbing dirt through baggy singlets to increase the feeling of ‘urban decay’ into a character’s ensemble, however this time around I was truly in my element and thanks to the collaboration with talented Director, Michael Matthews who hails from Cape Town in South Africa – it was such an aesthetically awesome experience getting to procure my craft!
The first episode of Ashbeclee goes live this SATURDAy 1st November but check out our trailer here!!!
Follow Ashbeclee on Facebook HERE for all of the updates and to watch each episode weekly from Saturday.
