I’m in Melbourne for the premiere of These Final Hours, the first Australian feature film I Costume Designed premiering at Melbourne International Film Festival tonight. It is incredibly exciting and I cannot wait to see how it turned out! Some of our stars include Nathan Phillips (Wolf Creek, Snakes On A Plane), Sarah Snook (Not Suitable For Children), Daniel Henshall (Snowtown) and Perth’s own stunner Jess De Gouw (ARROW, Dracula)! I also worked on one of the short films “Abbreviation” as part of Tim Winton’s ‘The Turning’, a Feature Film also premiering at MIFF and produced by the incredibly talented Robert Connolly which premieres tomorrow night at an exclusive gala event where the likes of Hugo Weaving and Mia Wasikowska will be in attendance. Other movie heavyweights featured in The Turning include, Rose Byrne and Cate Blanchett and I am so honoured to credit this film in my CV. In both films I used a hell of a lot of WA swimwear label, Bikini Atoll. As always Louise Bond – I love you and thank you for your AMAZING support of the Australian film industry and my work within it.
Of course while I’m here I am doing the SV thing so feast your eyes on a bit of Melbourne life below…I will add credits of where all these places are just as soon as I catch a break. Enjoy it SV gang! xx
